She couldn't take the competition back then, and gets a movie made about her. The world is seriously messed up.

This woman has paid with her life/career for the sins of her stupidity of her youth. Let her move on.
-
I agree that we should move on to a certain point, but why should she be idolized and walk a red carpet? Why not Nancy Kerrigan? Why not use the opportunity to teach rising against the odds vs. selfish decisions to rise to the top? I don't get it.
-
Im pretty sure there's no Tonya idolization. Perhaps this is her way to rise against the odds after destroying her entire life by youthful stupidity/selfish gain. Shes paid, let her go. Most of us can relate to horrible decisions in our youth, some just more public than others.
-
I'll agree to politely disagree. Forgetting about her and letting her move on is one thing. Putting her on a red carpet with a publicized article about several of the celebrities being "star struck" is another.
-
You give a red carpet too much credit. There are red carpets for every stupid movie opening in LA. It is simply a carpet & a logo panel behind it. Sometimes only a few people are there and a photographer. The "star stuck" is just them trying to get publicity to sell their movie.
