Masterpiece Cakeshop reminds me of Jim Crow. We can't create new 2nd-class citizens.https://usat.ly/2AWgcNm

That's not what this case is about and you know it. Jack Philips has not refused to serve homosexuals. He has refused to bake a cake celebrating a homosexual wedding. Major difference. Truth matters.

Then actually learn the truth. They were already married. The cake was for a reception being held later. He did not even find out what they wanted on the cake. He refused as soon as he learned they were gay.

No, USA Today, Cakeshop is nothing like Jim Crow. Jim Crow was legally- and state-sanctioned discrimination that harmed generations of African Americans by intimidation, abuse, and economic theft. Please don't go there. Really. Please. Don't.

I would encourage everyone to read the arguments being marshaled in this important case. Twitter's 280 characters doesn't allow me to give the detailed explanation to do this very serious subject justice.

That is EXACTLY what anti-discrimination laws prevent. You cannot have a for profit business and tell people to go to the back of the bus because you think you are better than them.

False! This is a moral issue. I never once felt I was better than a homosexual- but it IS morally wrong and I don’t want to be told I HAVE to sanction a homosexual marriage. Because I can’t. That’s what this is about.

You declare someone else is morally wrong for who they love. Sound like you think you are better than them. You don't have to sanction anything. It is not your business.

Don't drag black people into this mess. Not sure why it was so hard for them to find another bakery and why are you begging to give your money to people who hate you. Go where you are appreciated not just tolerated.

ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. Businesses have to abide by laws. They benefit off of all kinds of things that government (tax payers) provide and they are accountable to government and tax payers.

If there was NO other baker within a reasonable distance then OK, but this was in Denver. They could have selected any number of other bakers without problem, but they wanted to be victims and make an issue out of it.

That's not enough. Under Colorado anti-discrimination law he can't create and sell a product and then only sell it to some people.
