Kaepernick has also donated money and time to causes he supports. He didn't just kneel in protest, he put his time and money where his mouth (knee) is

While simultaneously disrespecting the people that sacrifice their lives for our safety? Watt used his status to raise and donate money to people in crisis.

I'm not diminishing what Watt did, good for him. But the notion that all he did was "kneel" is demonstrably false. Your opinion that Kaepernick didn't deserve this award is just that, your opinion. And your opinion is irrelevant wrt to who actually deserves and gets it

Great job shutting down ignorance...As a veteran, it amazes me how they still are trying to make this about the troops or the flag. #salute

It’s not about Soldiers. Where’s your DD214 from btw? It’s about equating cops with pigs and racist slime. It’s about praising a genocidal dictator and people still cupping his nuggets.

That would have been a nice award for Pat Tillman. But i guess giving up your livelihood to defend our country is not as important for social injustice

Pat Tillman was an American Hero, but that doesn't mean Kaepernick doesn't deserve this award for his work on social justice issues

LOL. This is almost as deserved as Pres. Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. Neither did anything to actually deserve the award but it was great virtue signalling.
