Elephants are listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act, but a provision in the act allows the government to give permits to import trophies if there is evidence that the hunting benefits conservation for that species.https://usat.ly/2zJ5eKk

This is the cherry on top of this disgusting and despicable administration - making sure his sons can slaughter elephants legally.

If these lovely creatures are endangered then how does that idiotic provision even apply? How does hunting the species benefit its conservation?!? 🤔

This is just horrid. African elephants are on the brink of extinction and are harmless creatures yet they’re poached daily for their tusks. Yet we want to lead to there extinction? Wrong!

If you are angry then let Congress know!! What I have done has been to tweet to members of the Democratic Caucus. We can express anger here but unless we express it to Congress what is the point. People tweet, write, email your member of Congress and show your outrage!!

Shooting elephants is shitty, shooting elephants also pays for the people who stop poachers from shooting elephants. World's a weird place sometimes

Another result: confusion of the ivory market, so illegal ivory can masquerade as legal ivory. I would understand if ivory were “farmed” humanely - which is being considered for rhino horn, because nothing else seems to stop the insatiable demand by superstitious Asians.

That's a bunch of BS... Animals that are endangered are suppose to be protected. Aren't there any international laws that protect them? No others words to say other than this is animal cruelty.

This is for Trump's sons. Remember that picture of them as hunters? You know, where guides herd animals to Trumpies so they can shoot them. This just opened up the ivory trade.,

Read the bottom line in the article , HUMANS ARE A SPECIES. Who decides when we should be culled and who gets to do the culling in the name of CONSERVATION of the SPECIES.
