People with a history of “self-mutilation,” bipolar disorder, depression, and substance abuse can now join the Army.https://usat.ly/2ABpbzD

The only way I can see this being successful is if those who are admitted under this waiver are placed in their own separate unit, deployed separately on missions, and never able to be given a rank higher than Private in the Army.

Is the army that desperate for recruits?? Let's give people with a history of mental illness a high powered weapon and show them how to use it. Considering recent events sounds like a bad plan to me.

So someone with serious mental disorders will be given a military assault rifle and allowed to serve in the armed forces, but transgendered sane individuals are bared. This is a nightmare in the making.

Not so sure about this one.... This seems dangerous for them and those they serve alongside.

This just appears to me like more of the liberal efforts to cripple our military’s readiness and effectiveness. Yeah, let’s let a bunch of fucking dysfunctional misfits enlist! “Fairness” for all! FUCK the idea of making sure the members of our military aren’t maniacs.

Who's doing this craziness? Our military, of all places, should be exemplary.

“A history” is the part that sticks here because “The NIMH estimates that in the United States, 16 million adults had at least one major depressive episode in 2012. That's 6.9 percent of the population.” In one year. Increased diagnosis means theres no one left to serve.
