The history of Columbus has been out for centuries just no one cared to read about how horrendous of a person he was until now.

He was a rapist & murderer of the people in the West Indies; how do you discover something that has already been here; you invaded

If Columbus wasn't credited with discovering the New World, it would have been someone else. Who cares? Columbus Day is fine with me.

I am and it bothers me that people like you and others are angry now. What happened 5, 10... shit 2 years ago? Where was your anger then?
-
The anger has always been there and it's been there for generations the only thing is that it's been suppressed and 10 years ago people weren't as dependent on social media as they are now. I've been hearing about this since I was in high school and that was 9 years ago.
-
But for the last 9 years that you have been hearing or knowing about it what have you done? nothing. And that's my point.
-
I personally have been informing those that don't know or don't want to know about what Christopher Colombus has done, there are plenty of other pressing issues that we also focus on so I don't understand your hostility if people are trying so hard to make an immediate change?

-
This isn't about Washington.

Not sure if you missed this but I circled it in red so you don't miss it this timepic.twitter.com/EaisZUb5Dc
-
No I didn't miss it. It's the truth it should remain. Sign of the time. Columbus did not discover anything he stole it with violence.
-
And if Columbus stole and killed people for land than what are you still doing here? Doesn't that make you complicit?
-
I'd say no, I'm not complicit with something that happened 500 years before I was born
-
You're not getting it. It doesn't matter if you were born yet or not. You still know about it and profit from it, yet you continue to stay.
