Hell yes..as the oceans heat up, the warm water is fuel for tropical storms & hurricanes. Oceans heating up largely due to carbon based fuel

We had hurricanes Betsy and Camille in the 60s. What about in 1938, that hurricane had lowest pressure ever recorded with highest winds.

The connection between Gulf water temp & storm / hurricane severity is well known. Last winter was highest ave water temp ever..coincidence?

I don't have all the answers, but I do know that 50+ inches of rain (& counting) over few days isn't "normal", certainly in modern history
