Under assault? Are their driving privileges under assault? Check cashing, or credit card use under assault? How do you prevent fraud?

Maybe making it free to renew for those that are low income and elderly? Naw that would be to easy and not profitable.
-
You would still be "assaulting" their rights just by requiring an I.D.
-
Well you're not a very good conversationalist. Tell me repeating the same thing makes it more true every time right?
-
No. I'm not a good conversationalist. I just think hypocrisy and politics go hand in hand, and it's frustrating.
-
Granted politics is filled with many hypocrites. In Oregon we have mail in voting, it works without the lines and other BS.

need id for smokes, booze, planes, driving, permits, jury duty, checks, prescriptions, etc... but to vote naww, that racist!!!! WTF?????
-
You also need money to pay for those meds, food, utility and phone bills. Which should they give up to renew these ID's on a fixed income?
-
If someone cant afford a $20.00 ID once every 4 years then you have no business voting your argument should be free ID not FFA voting!!!!!!!
-
There are other reasons than simply voting to give elderly and disabled free ID. Starting with fixed incomes and disabled parking permits.
-
I agree with you 100%, with all the govt waste, they should be able to provide these things for free to elderly and people who truly disabled
