Memorials to the soldiers who died in a tragic time at the place where it happened. Monuments to the dead. They should stay. Teaching peace.

The park honors those who fought there regardless of which side they fought for. I hate racism but I don't mind seeing sculptures of rebels

This is a museum. The battlefield is kept as a museum would. It is not a public square. No problem with keeping these things in museums.

It is a civil war themed park. That's where these type of statues belong if anywhere. Not in general public places.
