          Uh, well ice is FRESHWATER so even if it MELTED it would just alter the salinity ratio and INCREASE EVAPORATION! Which would mean more rain.

          it's not the same as an ice cube in a glass of water, sea water is warmer and contains salt which effects the mass when ice melt's

          It alters the salinity ratio of the surrounding ocean, which increases evaporation and creates more rain... which is a good thing.
