        The problem was the airlines fault for overbooking. Should have kept raising the airline dollar offer higher until they got a volunteer.

        Overbooking is protecting the bottom line of United BUT it should be illegal to yank paying customers when thrflight is full !!!

        Overbooking has a net benefit to the consumer. Cheaper overall fares due to less waste, plus possibility for travel vouchers.
