the Handler is the one at fault, he should not have pushed the dog when the dog backed off. Shame on the handler!

What happened is not the fault of the writer of the book, but rather the movie production team, who should have had better control

-Animal cruelty claims against movie are bogus. If this was cruelty then many do the same when washing their dog that hates a bath

Are you freakin kidding me! Nobody washes their dog in rapids, or allows the bath water to suck them under!

he can stand behind his book. The problem is the movie forcing a dog into the water. He's just mad because that profit is gone.

I watched the video,as a animal lover, I felt empathy for the dog, but I don't feel he was abused or harmed.

Too many are quick to judge. The dog probably enjoyed it. I will happily see the movie when it is out.
