@USATODAY Voter education would improve voter turnout. I don't think people really understand the power that is in their vote.

@TaraLSamples How do you tackle that, Tara? -
@USATODAY with voter education & awareness. If people are given the proper knowledge they would vote consistently, starting in High School. -
@TaraLSamples Interesting point, Tara. Think we'll see more of that in the future? -
@USATODAY absolutely! -
@TaraLSamples We'll have to see what happens in the next election! -
@USATODAY 2 years for Ohio! We'be got to elect a new governor and Secretary of State! -
@TaraLSamples That's pretty soon, Tara!

@USATODAY#SocialPolls turnout would increase if election period was longer and voting methods easier. Mix of weekdays and weekends -
@ATPJudge Availability of voters is certainly important. Great point.

@USATODAY A tax penalty if you don't vote. -
@danielbeyeler Or what about a tax incentive for voting, Daniel? That's very interesting. -
@USATODAY I think that a penalty makes you dive deeper into the subjects or what candidates stand for then an incentive would do.

@USATODAY If citizens were reasonably sure both candidates had their best interest in mind and not their own. -
@RicardoGeorge1 Do you think that's a result of the political parties?

@USATODAY If people knew the wait times, they would come out, for sure. It's sad, but some people are deterred and can't miss work. -
@aCapitolCrisis Do you think polling places should be in charge of monitoring wait times for voters? -
@USATODAY There should be more polling places & machines. Don't think a lack of resources should be an excuse. They've had 4yrs lol
