The average adult in the USA spends $1,497 a month on nonessential items. All told, that's roughly $18,000 a year on things we can all do without. http://bit.ly/2vIbNZZ pic.twitter.com/bpgVj94SaM

Walk 11 miles to work, walk home, gaze at the wall while sitting on the floor eating iceberg lettuce. Got it.

Lol, going to walk 11 miles? You're going to burn though so many non-essential shoes that way. Get your head out of your ass stupid millennial.

Personal grooming? You get fired if you skip that. Rideshares? People got to get places. If you saved that $96 a month until you could afford a car (AND in many places, a place to park it), you'd be missing out on so many opportunities in the meantime.

At least four different items on this list add up to: food, which is something human beings need to survive. Online shopping? You're not specifying what people are shopping for. You can buy essentials online. People without, again, cars or places to park them often have to.

        It’s a life-insurance ad. Literally. A life-insurance company commissioned it for “National Life Insurance Day.”https://www.swnsdigital.com/2019/05/americans-spend-at-least-18000-a-year-on-these-non-essential-costs/ …

this is a nonsense chart. The first four entries are literally food and beverage. And what does “Subscription boxes” even mean?

Subscription boxes are the once a month delivery of a specific thing. Like a lootcrate or pet food or wine of the month club
