Oops. You wonder why this movement is a total joke and makes it harder for real victims to come foward.

Just because it can happen and does every once in a great while, doesn't mean it's a setback to the movement. People who really do lie SHOULD have consequences. No one is denying that. People lie about domestic abuse sometimes but that doesn't mean we shouldn't believe victims!

Calling the fact that a prominent woman was found to have falsely accused someone of harassing her a "#MeToo setback" is irresponsible. She's a rotter to have done it and should face consequences for her actions. Your dogwhistle headline jeopardizes survivors of sexual harassment

Get a grip. Neither sex is pure and clean. The #MeToo movement has and will continue to a huge disrupter to the status quo especially the good ol'boy's club.

For those of us who prefer justice over mob rule and witch hunts, this isn't a setback at all. It's a spotlight on the dangers of a movement, however well-intentioned, that is actually counterproductive and divisive.

This is why the whole sharing this BS on social media is stupid. Take your alleged cyber harassment to the police not to the SJW police

The Police should have stepped up and gotten involved after this man made his first stupid comment. At that time, they would have heard his bs story of how “customers” or “employees” have access to his FB acct and they would have told him to SECURE IT

All of his customers have access to his computer? Well that's pretty convenient. It makes for a good alibi. But still easy to prove. The date & time of the message, compared to in store video, should produce the culprit.

So a court in a liberal Western democracy found that this person couldn't make damaging accusations against another person without PROOF. I don't see a problem here...
