Fun fact! Now do one on Mississippi having the highest infant mortality rate in the nation! Maybe the mother holding a coffin? Or does @USATODAY’s graphics department not do context?

Cool fact! Now let's compare infant mortality rates! What is the point of this? This information provides no information.

Mississippi is also poor, in fact it receives the MOST federal assistance as not only a traditionally red state but one of the poorest states in the nation...it’s been classified by the UN as having 3rd world living and economic conditions...

And the highest infant mortality rate. Think those *might* be correlated, @USATODAY? Like Warren Buffett said, this is class warfare and the ultra-rich are winning.

Mississippi has the highest infant mortality rate AND is a poor state. Maybe less money and fewer infants factor in to this statistic??? IOW, this number isn’t a “win”!

Easy. If you live in DC, commute everyday with your infant to Mississippi to get them cared for. Save money

And you significantly increase the odds that your child will die! Think of the savings accrued over the many years of that child's life!

Speak for yourself. As for me, l’ll be chartering flights to and from DC to Mississippi to have my infant cared for. Look at the money I’ll be saving!!!

So they spend the least amount and have the highest infant mortality? I'm shocked.

It’s also the poorest state in the union and has terrible infant mortality rates. In every single positive measure, Mississippi comes in dead last or close to it.
