At 55 cents, it's still a bargain. If they need to raise prices to help pay for the healthcare and pay for retirees, I say go for it. We need to USPS to stay solvent.

They should change the savings they give big companies Then an average person can save on Shipping. Even it out , do not let the little man get holding the bill.

The big companies would just pass the cost to the consumer. 55 cents to mail a letter across the county or down the street is a bargain.

Well I own a small company and I do ship. BUT I do not push the online because Shipping is outrageous. When postage is more than the product its a problem. Amazon gets 40-50% OFF shipping. They are sending labels to all these companies. they send multiple packages this way

I don’t like Amazon but with their high volume they’re going to get huge discounts. If it wasn’t for Amazon using the post office our rates would be higher. Their volume helps cover a lot of the fixed costs at the post office.

There volume keeps yours rising..... ITs not even being packaged by amazon

My point is Amazon is using the US Post Office for deliveries. That helps cover a lot of the fixed costs that the post office pays regardless of volume.

YES but in all reality if the rates were lower companies would not Join amazon to get 40-50% off and more would use the postal services not go through amazon.

Amazon is too big at this point. Nobody is stopping them. I support local as often as possible.

It’s still cheap. I suggest they cut costs by eliminating mail delivery a couple of days a week. I’d be happy if I got mail once a week. Nothing important ever arrives in the mail.

I checked. It's true. At 55 cents it's a bargain. Also provides many good jobs with benefits. The only reason it's losing money is a law passed by the Republicans to funds their retirement 75 years in advance.

Did the fact check or is this made up? The USPS is an important service that doesn't take a penny of tax dollars. Oops you Didn't bother to check that. I will have to check if this story is even true.

If the US Postal Service would stop delivering bulk rate junk mail, they would go out of business entirely.

Wow. What a surprise. 🙄 Dont the hacks at the USPS run up 16 billion dollar deficit every year? If it were a private company it would’ve been outta biz years ago. And you want the government running your heath care?! Hahahahabaha
