a bit skewed question. I would want to the see the number of women in congress since 1920. Still an underwhelming number, but it would tell a greater story for today rather than include the 140 years where they did not have the right to vote.

Who cares? Should be the best person for the job, regardless of race or gender.
-
It's American history. Americans care.
-
No. People are using it as an excuse NOW to make decisions about equality of outcomes based legislation. It is WRONG to to that.

This is a misleading question. Women only gained the right to vote and run for office in 1920. Even if women made up half of
#Congress since then (which would be a good thing), this percentage would still be low. - 1 more reply

How many USA Today employees have there been since the start? How many have been female?

Equality of outcomes is a liberal dystopian lie.
-
Equality of opportunity is a conservative dystopian lie.
-
It is an ideology based of the sovereignty of individuals. Tell me how you determine how ethnic someone is? How do you divide something that can be divided infinitely? That is why a system based on the individual is key.
-
What the hell are you rambling about?
-
Ok, say you have 50% women in a position. How much of those women should have ethnic diversity? How do you decide that? What if you have 25% of that 50% women African American, how do you divide them? Do you see where I am going with this, or is it too complicated for you?
-
As an expert thinker you should be able to clearly make your point instead of posing cryptic questions and asking if I "see where [you're] going with this" But, setting that aside, if there was truly equality of opportunity, one would expect outcomes to track demographics.
-
The problem with equality of outcomes is the assumption that men and women think the same. That is a lie. Some men are better at things and some women are better at things. This is based on genetics, not society.
