What? How is this possible? A Cadillac kept a 75 year old man captive for 14 hours? Who wrote this, Stephen King?

Do I kick a window out & climb out of the car to immediate safety? Or, do I stay trapped inside & get national publicity?

Or he could have lifted up on the manual handle directly next to the door with a picture of an open door on it and been out in 2 seconds.

It is terrifying that this guy has no clue how to operate his car. There's a very clearly marked release handle RIGHT NEXT TO THE SEAT with a red picture of an open door. It isn't GM's fault that in 12 years of ownership, he never learned how to work his car. And this guy drives.
