While there’s no doubt Serena Williams has endured sexism and racism, it doesn’t mean bias was at play at the US Open women's final.https://usat.ly/2QjOpeD

Watched the entie match and totally agree. Didn’t at first. I immediately agreed with Serena’s POV @ first glance, but that quickly changed after I watched everything leading up and after

All the thime - like when? He even got banned. Even some time ago a (male) tennis player got banned for abusive outburst. And on another note in 1970-s soccer/football palyers used to drink beer and smoke during halftime. Think about it.

Good article with fair analysis (for a change). People who falsely accuse others of sexism or racism should be called out more often. She owes the man an apology. Thank you USA Today for not succumbing to the modern media mob mentality.

Sexism and racism was hard for Serena to claim as she played a female Haitian Japanese women with a Hispanic judge. Her claim would get more media support if she were playing a white wealthy man so she could blame racism, sexism and privilege. WOW- identity politics is poison.

Williams exhibited classic elitism in this case. She believed she was above the official and her opponent, rules be damned. Instead of apologizing to her opponent for taking away her moment of victory, she claims sexism and racism for what happened. Typical victimhood mentality

Sexism and racism claims are being used so much that people are growing immune. It’s sad for those who actually face it that things like this stain the cause.

But does he “follow these rules” all the time? As male tennis pros have said, the Ump shouldn’t be escalating the situation. And doesn’t with men.
