America may have lost its love for the stick shift, but which do you think is better: automatic or manual transmission? https://usat.ly/2NOOohb pic.twitter.com/r5lCC1Xrv0

Manuals are fun for a few minutes for an extra weekend car ..bumper to bumper dsily traffic requires an automatic

That sums it up nicely. When I was a single mom, and couldn't afford a different car, I commuted in a manual. It was brutal.

Manual transmission is better on MPG. It is safer when driving in snow. Also cheaper and more simple to replace. The clutch does need replacing if not used properly. Automatics are handy in the city.

I remember my father teaching me to drive stick. He said if you know how to operate everything you will never be stranded anywhere. Lol

If you can parallel park a stick shift car while on a hill and not bump another car, your a damn good. #perfectteencar #notexting

We're an obese country and manuals are pretty physically demanding.

When I was younger I once said I would always drive a V8 with stick-shift. Now, I drive a 4 cylinder Honda with automatic tranny. Go figure.....

Automatic is safer. A stick just has better gas mileage.
