For too many journalists covering the White House, the job is "about theater and making great television, not about journalism," writes former correspondent Ronica Cleary in a USA TODAY op-edhttps://usat.ly/2C8KL4k

Well it gets to this very fast when the President kicks out everyone that opposes him. Hes the one that wants all this theater #DumpTrump

I seem to recall president Obama doing things close to this. Yet no one said a word. I wonder why?

How could this not be "us vs them"? It's not informative, it's adversarial by design. Are reporters going to feel warm and generous with a sneering, contemptuous just-try-to-make-me-answer bitch of hostility leading the haha briefing? Sarah Stonewall is not our friend.

How about everyone stops covering the press conferences live and only reports verified facts afterwards? Then nobody gets to perform.

I found this quite offensive that you feel you deserve being offered a seat without the time put in working your way up to that statis. An affront to the 1000’s of women working in hot fields every day while pregnant or two jobs while on their feet.

@RonicaCleary is absolutely correct.. But it's not great television, it's irritating! I don't know how @SarahHuckabee @PressSec puts up with the BS!

Sarah puts up with it by spewing more lies. "Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's lies" I would agree that it is lies.

Exactly how long are White House Briefings? My first child, I was a CNA and on my feet 12 hours a day up until the day before I delivered her. You are seriously whining no one would give you a seat? Give me a break.

A pretty whinny op-ed! She spends about as much time crying about not getting a seat in the briefing room, as she does criticizing reporters who don't work for FOX News. LOL, and now she's a Republican 'strategist'! LMAO
