If that kid had shot and killed that cop, what would he have gotten?
-
-
-
What does that have to do with anything?
-
15 years is a pretty light sentence for murder. If it had been the other way around the sentence would be much longer.
-
And he probably won’t even serve half. Disgraceful.

Good! The sentence was not long enough. But he will be feeling the love in that orange jumpsuit

The last cop to be found guilty of murder while on duty was in 1972-3 for playing Russian Rolwlet with a handcuffed 12 year old. This is a massive win I do agree he should have gotten life !

15 yrs?! That's it?! I'm disgusted with the verdict and the justice system and the whole system, period! He'll probably serve only quarter of that..smdh.
-
The verdict was "guilty." That's what it should have been. Jury did their job. The judge determined the sentence length. He didn't do his. It should have been longer. More like 30 or 40.

im not sure how you humans do math, I admit. But I'm even more confused now...https://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/man-shot-killed-ohio-officer-jethro-sentenced-45/story?id=41645362 …

That speaks volumes.

Yeah I live about 45 minutes from there. Clearly he didn't go chasing the German Shepard down to shoot him, just to be beyond clear. Also, as a Badger - I dislike German Shepards. Don't care. We all know who initiated that particular attack

1 year for every year the child was alive. Not remotely good enough. He should be put in Genpop. Sadly he will be protected. At least they got the verdict right. The sentence...not so much.

I am not going to write "good" that a young man is dead and another's is beginning Hell on Earth. I will write........the wheels of Justice should be non biased, and work for all People--no one or group by fraternal elitism or prominence, should be above the Law. Wholly tragic
-
Much respect to you for your insight. Do you believe that young men of color in the USA begin living Hell on Earth when they are old enough to attend Grade School? And it never ends, regardless how wealthy, successful, powerful, or respected they are among their peers?
#TakeAKnee -
I can't speak for all or everyone. I can author ideas and some experiences which are that yes. I think most non white people in America have experienced racism, racial bias and discrimination. Hell on Earth is jail, in my opinion.

He should get life....a life for a life.
-
Then actually should he not have gotten the death penalty? If life for life....
-
We dont get that kind of justice...we settle for what we can. Sad to say but true.
-
I really wish it was not like that, but I do understand it is. As a white man it hurts me, I cannot imagine how it makes a person of color feel. Just want to let you know I care.
