I'd hope that my tax money to 911 isn't spent on civilian level phone contracts. Doesn't seem like a secure way to operate.

Is Verizon monitoring their customers, to know whether or not they need higher speeds due to an emergency? How would they know?

Did the fire Dept call Verizon and say "were not able to do our jobs as emergency responders because of your throttling"?

Shouldn't law enforcement/emergency service have a special contract with their service providers? One that doesn't throttle?

It's like soda fountain cup sizes. Business' charge for the different sizes yet people can just walk up ans refill in water cups anyway. Just charge the one big cup size for all sizes & be done. People will do only one of two things. They will or won't buy.

B.S. "making a buck" is what the republicans were thinking when they cast their vote on net neutrality. It is NOT necessary to throttle internet. Verizon should just charge the dollar amount it's lusting after and leave the speed alone.

When what you or your co does during an emergency situation gets people killed or endangers others, there is a problem. If human decency, and the drive within to save a life is eclipsed by the desire for making more profit, we have truly become lost and soulless remnants of man.

"Many wrote in to say: Verizon is a business and is in it to make money." ??? I don't agree with that sentiment. Anyway, back to brain hacking. It'd be easier to explain afterlife technology if the hippies hadn't forgotten about remote-controlled people.pic.twitter.com/6DaxUHXQP0
