This isn't even close to falling on a sword. Failing in some duties while excelling at others does not make one great.

I’m so fucking tired of OSU acting like they survived a tragedy. This whole thing is Urban Meyers fault for not doing the right thing about Zach Smith. Nobody has done the right thing in this whole shitshow, and no one has done anything to help Courtney Smith.

You do realize Courtney Smith’s own mother said she was never abused, right? You do realize that Ohio police are required to make an arrest if there is ANY evidence of abuse, right? It never happened.

OSU fell on their collective asses. SAD! Meyer deleted phone history. Lied on media day. Knowingly excluded 2009 arrest of Smith’s arrest when hiring Smith. Says Wife never told him anything. OSU personnel failed to adequately respond to open record request from school newspaper.

Not buying it — Urban Liar, I mean Meyer, dang typo, used his usual defense that worked so well with the Gator/Hernandez problems — Weakly & inaccurately state involvement. Ostrich! Put head deep in the sand!

NO...the athletic department is fully self-sufficient. In facts, the football program funds many other sports & university programs.

Wow, this lawyer is the next Rudy. What a crock of BS. Urban should have been out of CFB based upon his negligence at UF. Instead he moves to OSU where he joins the legacy of Woody and Jim “I know nothing “ Jordan. Buckeyes >Louisville, MSU and PSU 4 for most immoral college.

While not a fan of Ohio State I am still trying to understand why football leadership is held accountable for employee's personal behavior. This is a different standard from most corporate models.

But it’s a public state school not a company. Look at the standard of being a CO in the military, where a CO can be, and is oftentimes relieved, of his position for the actions of his/her subordinates. Apples to oranges, if this were the NFL then I would agree with you..

Your CO reference in the military is not accurate. If a soldier is found guilty of domestic abuse he can receive an article 15 or be chaptered out of the Army depending on severity, but the CO is not disciplined.

Maybe not for one bad apple in which he/she follows protocol but CO’s have been relieved for lying/deception. Known as “conduct unbecoming” if they covered for or were deemed negligent from someone under their command. Has happened numerous times with hazing, SA, false reports...

A CO of mine years was relieved for such conduct. He was found lying and covering up about an incident overseas for way less than what Urban did. While the osu report didn’t use the term “lie” they did admit he indeed did so. JimTressel was fired for lying to the NCAA

Lying and deception, yes it was the cover up that got Nixon.
