Pregnant woman fired by restaurant boss for asking for maternity leave. "It’s not a good time for us to have someone who is leaving for maternity leave in several months anyways," the manager wrote.http://usat.ly/2BJjCEJ

I guess thats progress. In the 60's it was difficult to get hired if you just got married. Men in charged assumed you would be having babies soon. How do i know? Worth a lot of money single. After married was told I'd be having babies. Not worth the investment.

Whenever I hear stories like this, I think, "Someone took time off from work to give birth to you: your mother. How would you like to have her treated this way?"

This manager should learn to show some humanity to their staff. What a totally inconsiderate and self centered individual.

I’m sure they would hired someone else if they knew she was pregnant I don’t know all the details , but if she lied. That’s terms for dismissal.

It's a sub shop with like 3 employees.. please tell me how a sub shop can afford to pay for a worker who isn't working plus the worker the cover for her.. the situation is unfair for either party..

They likely wouldn't be paying her while she's on leave with her baby. And most women who work these jobs don't take much time off when the baby is born because they can't afford to not be paid.
