A woman reportedly announced her NASA internship on Twitter before cursing another user in a profane tweet. That user? Ex-NASA engineer Homer Hickam.https://usat.ly/2wdSSGg

It was not a woman, it was a man who identified as a woman. XX dont have "dick and balls to suck". This person told another to suck his dick. Stop blaming women for wrongdoings of males. Saying a woman committed a crime when in fact it was a male obscures male crimepic.twitter.com/n1DfrlbHK5

It’s a bad take for someone to be held accountable for their actions?

It's a bad take for a guy with "grammar and PC optional" in his bio to say someone should be fired from an internship for some harmless words on Twitter.

Would this have happened to a man? Or would have just been excused as “locker-room talk”? And I notice it’s an older white man chastising a woman. So she dropped an f-bomb in excitedly sharing the news, so what?! @NASA is being sexist, she should sue if they withdraw the offer.

The article title isn’t exactly true. her friends started to curse him out, because he didn’t want ‘nasa’ and ‘fuck’ in the same sentence. He had nothing to do with her termination, and is actually trying to get it reinstated. Have a good day.

That’s nice to hear. I feel like the word fuck is so commonly used that using the word shouldn’t get someone fired - but I don’t know what she, or her friends, tweeted back to him, which may have been threatening.

That's the problem with this younger generation. They don't heed the warnings from the elders. Too bad for her. She had a huge opportunity and she ruined it with her stupidity.

How could you get an internship at NASA and not know who Homer Hickam is? And I’m going to use this example the next time I have to get after a student for using bad language. #Respect
