"John Elway's disingenuous comments regarding Colin Kaepernick were as easy to spot as a football player kneeling during the national anthem," @joshlpeter11 writes. https://usat.ly/2Bfaoju  (via @usatodaysports)

USA Today should be embarrassed that they allow this kind of “article” to be published. Another dud from their SJW Sports writer.

It has zero actual content to it. The entire article could have been boiled down to the headline and posted as a tweet. Clickbait

So I have to go read an article from an entirely different publication to get supporting evidence? That’s kind of my point. I’m not arguing against his opinion I’m saying that this is just pandering clickbait.

Not a John Elway fan, but this article calling Elway’s comments regarding Colin Kaepernick disingenuous is ridiculous. There is no substance to the article. For an article like this one, you, as a journalist, need to convince me or at least try.

Poor Colin. A GM was only willing to pay a measly $7 mil. Give me a break. Colin was given a chance, he passed, Elway dodged a bullet.

No he opted out because he was going to be released. Also the year he is talking about is before he become a free agent. Where they also could've gave him the same seven million the following year.

Kaep was inconsistent, classic QB2 on most teams, like a Mark Sanchez type but a distraction, kinda like how Tim Tebow got ran out of the league, except they got on him about his religious beliefs. He overplayed his hand, it’s that simple.

Couldn't be the inconsistent seeing that he posted 16 tds and 4 ints. Tebow wasn't ran out the league seeing that he signed with two more teams after he left the Jets.

This is a bad take. Elway visited Colin in Vail when he was rehabbing from shoulder surgery & offered him a pay cut to join the SB champs (w/ an extension likely if he performed). Colin declined. It’s reasonable Elway (who took pay cuts to win) probably holds a grudge for this.

Who gives a shit. Kaepernick was a bum abs couldn’t play. Then he disrespected the country that made him rich! All these players did nothing in the offseason to stop injustices, so don’t insult hard working Americans by kneeling! NFL will end if these idiots don’t wake up
