"Stop hating": One year after the deadly #Charlottesville rally, Heather Heyer's mother reflects on the loss of her daughter, who was hit by a car, during what was supposed to be a peaceful protest. https://usat.ly/2M4Ddnr pic.twitter.com/0fvJoZ7dKl

Fascist bullshit. A car is not responsible. A white supremacist is responsible.

Please substitute “was murdered by a white supremacist” for “was hit by a car”. A little free copy editing. You’re welcome.

Lets not ignorantly mince words. A peaceful protester (not an Antifa member) was KILLED by a misguided young man who used a car to exact his hate. No one is born hating but it definitelty is taught!

"was hit by a car" excellent use of the fascist voice... I mean passive voice

NOT A CAR, A NAZI. "A man was killed by a hammer" is not a thing you would say. You would say "someone murdered a man with a hammer." Why is it different for a car, @USAToday? Don't want to hurt the feelings of Nazis?

"who was hit by a car" The passive voice in this can eat shit and so can the person who wrote this tweet.

so many editors told me that passive phrasing was a cowardly thing to do as a reporter. i guess the exception to that rule is when you’re reporting on nazis and cops.
