The police department’s relationship with communities of color has been strained by a long history of police brutality and allegations of heavy-handed tactics.https://usat.ly/2vojJjg

The Police Department should not be a division of Social Services.

Police think they are the law, and are above the law. How many cops around the country speak out against the "bad cops" when they kill unarmed black men? How many are charged with a crime and actually convicted? There's the problem.

Doesn't help, since you decided to have a truck load of nikes in a low income area with at risk black males. Oh then u arrest them.....you seem to have alot of time on ur hands.

Has nothing to do with police brutality. It’s a cultural issue. A culture desensitized to violence, gangs, chronic law breaking and a need for street justice. It’s become accepted in their neighborhoods. No matter how much death, it continues. It’s their choice to change now

We keep reiterating the problem and pointing fingers. Getting solutions is much harder job that's why politicians keep talking the same rhetoric year after year. Violence begets violence The end. Jobs education better policing open up the libraries and fix the parks

The policies of Emanuel and his Democrat administration to engage in appeasement and payoffs has failed miserably, he has put everyone in Chicago in danger. Now he's also brought Chicago to the point that only brute force and relentless enforcement of the law is going to fix it.

It probably has more to do with fear of retribution from gang members than anything else. Those who squeal don’t live long.
