As a marine he should know better and make sure his wife has taken steps to be legal. Serving your country or not, laws are still laws. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The US is the only country in the world where a spouse (and mother) of citizens does not have right of abode. Totally crazy. Never, ever let me hear again the GOP claim to champion 'family values'.

I’m sorry she has to leave her family but she’s been in this country for 20 years and doesn’t have the proper legal status?!? The wife of a marine should know better. She didn’t try to do something about it until after she got pulled over? Honestly.....

She’s had over 20 years. Shame on her for being so selfish. She knew that by not getting her paperwork done she ran the risk of being caught and separated from her children. Being a military wife raised her chances of getting caught. I feel bad for her kids.

Having a very hard time trying to sympathize with a man who voted for Trump. He knew exactly the pain that would be inflicted upon other families, but thought his own would be spared. But, being an actual human, this still breaks my heart.

This country has lost its moral compass. Absolutely shameful that being a military wife is meaningless.

Irony the man her husband voted for is the man who is taking his wife away. The country he fought for like with every veteran has turned a blind and deaf ears. Sadly the paper she signed as a minor is being honored knowing minors can not enter in contract. Wow 😮

20 years and no permanent residency. She’s accused of lying in her asylum petition. If she did, she blew her chance. Sad but fair being deported. If she didn’t fight it. But fight against laws isn’t the solution. ILLEGAL immigration is not the solution to the immigration debate

It does? It sounds she has paperwork that may prove otherwise. There’s a process to get permanent residency and citizenship. It’s inclusive and open to anyone. If this lady screwed up her chance. Sad. If she didn’t, she needs to fight it
