There may be a want for a different top conference, but the arguments in the article do not change the fact that the SEC is still tops. They have fallen off, but from top to bottom they have strength. The big 10 does have great teams, no doubt, but not the level of competition

100% wrong. With FCS opponents galore in the SEC, a down LSU, questionable MSU(sans Mullen) and TAM/Old Miss then SEC West only has Bama and AU. East had UGA and no one else. I love SEC too, Go Dawgs, but your tweet is wrong.

I can't really argue the decline. I can't. It's true. I just don't feel, right now, the big 10 has the depth the sec. Part of my problem is the overrated teams in the big 10. ie how many 3+ loss seasons can Michigan have before they stop getting the benefit of the doubt.
-
For better or worse They get the benefit because of recruiting, history, the talent that is there and the defense. Recall 2 years ago UM’s 3 losses were by a combined loss of 5 pts total . Easily could have be undefeated. Last year they had zero offense but defense held them.

There’s definitely some parity. The SEC will still unload more future NFLers into the draft, but the ACC and Big10 are significantly better from a coaching standpoint, top-to-bottom, than the SEC.

Before or after Urban Meyer is fired?
-
Even if Urban is fired, Ohio stat has the second best, if not the best roster in the country.
-
If he loses much of his staff that can change. It could be much worse for osu if they find many coaches knew as the report implies.....Rich Rod at UM is a recent example of talent being lost/squandered.
-
If the entire coaching staff gets fired, yes I’ll agree the performance on the field will suffer
-
I don’t think the entire staff would , interim coach would stay as he’s only been there for a little, but those who did know, and it’s proven, then they are gone...
-
There are a lot of facts that’s we’re still missing.
-
True, but having worked in investigations before the report is very solid.. hopefully the truth come out but big university’s like to hide things. MSU anyone ?
-
Ohio state has never had a problem firing a coach. If he deserves to be fired he will be. No one is bigger than the program.
