Absolutely no disrespect to man in cloth, but the people act as though he is God. States in the bible to NOT idolize anyone but him.

Worst Pope ever. An Eye for an Eye. In the Bible. And the Death Penalty is not used often enough in my opinion. I have little religious admiration for this Pope. He is the Anti-pope. Illuminati Pope. Let him clean up the Vatican of Pedophile.

He was murdered on a Cross. I think he would be fine with it. He committed no Crime and he suffered for Humanity. We are talking about criminal's. Go read the Bible.

Actually he did commit a crime according to the laws at that time. Which means you would have been ok with it. Again. God made 10 commandments. One of those being Thou Shall Not Kill. No ambiguity there.

The charge under Roman law was treason, & under Herodian law blasphemy against the Temple. The evidence against Christ was so strong authorities of both the Roman State & Kingdom of Herod concurred with the arrest & execution, & he was subjected to trial by both governments

Equating himself to God was not a crime.

It was under the laws at that time. Period. And the punishment was death. Had you been there you would have been advocating for his death.

My unhappiness with this pope go beyond his opinion on death penalty. Jesus preached forgiveness but continued sin will separate you from God. If governments decide death penalty is just I can live with my God and religion just fine.

I didn't ask you about any of that so I will ask again. How do you think Jesus would feel about the death penalty? Maybe actually answer the question instead of deflecting. Thanks!

Jesus would say that? The man who died as a result of the death penalty? You sure that's the answer you wanna go with? The man who preached forgiveness and mercy would be ok with the death penalty?

Matthew 22:21 Jesus said "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's." Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God."

Render unto Caesars is about taxes not about the death penalty. No authority except for God's....well that says it all. God is the final authority. Not man. God giveth and God taketh. Including life. He even made a commandment about it.
