For more than an hour, prosecutors walked jurors through volumes of clothing invoices to show Manafort spent nearly $1 million on suits, sport coats, shirts and jackets.https://usat.ly/2OBD2hg

What? Mueller team spending an hour of the jury’s time on pointing out Manafort was a clothes horse? The issue is not whether Manafort likes spending money but rather whether or not he paid his taxes. This demonization attempt is straight out of Alinski.

"The money flowed, prosecutors assert, almost exclusively from secret accounts Manafort held in Cyprus, where the political operative allegedly stashed tens of millions of dollars that he did not report as income for work he performed in Ukraine."

But it makes no difference on what Manafort spent the money. The issue is whether or not he paid income taxes.

One good thing. At least the prosecutors didn't dwell on the luxurious meals he had. Imagine the frustrations of the judge & jury to hear all of that before lunch. That would be so cruel.

The judge has a point: It's not what obscene luxuries Manafort spent his money on but whether he kept records, declared the income, and paid taxes on the ill-begotten offshore funds from oligarchs.
