A pair of N.J. talk radio hosts who repeatedly referred to New Jersey's Sikh attorney general, Gurbir Grewal, as "turban man" and "the guy with the turban" were removed from the airwaves "until further notice" after charges of racism and xenophobia.https://usat.ly/2uQfYms

I used to wear a cowboy hat. They called me the guy with a hat. Never took it as racist

Cowboy is not a religious, not officially anyway. It’s just really tacky they referred to him in that manner on national radio!

Tacky and tasteless comments. If they couldn’t say his name they could have used the “Attorney General for the state of NJ”. So really they wanted to make fun of his religion’s attire.

I have a question… “Is he walking around with a turban, yes or no? “ “Nuff said!” If he was walking around with a baseball cap on all the time and somebody said, “baseball cap guy”, would that be offensive as well? Don’t you realize nothing truly happens if somebody is “offended

Guy with a turban isn't that bad, they could have said a lot worse. Probably have, but not on air.

Everything today that someone does not agree with or disapproves of is racism or xenophobia, for Gods sake it a fucking turban. If someone is overweight they are called fat, of they are short they are called shorty, if you do not like a name then change. It is a turban, take off.
