Has FEMA learned? “Carmen Yulin Cruz, mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, criticized the Trump administration's response in Puerto Rico and publicly confronted FEMA at a news conference, saying the lack of better assistance could be described as genocide.”https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/sep/29/san-juan-mayor-criticizes-us-officials-for-calling-puerto-rico-relief-effort-good-news …

If @fema just figured that out they should be disbanded. It’s literally THEIR JOB to know this stuff & be ready for it!!! Good god are they all as stupid as @realDonaldTrump ???

It took FEMA 5 days to send help to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. They cannot handle Hurricane devastation.

Drastically underestimated? Is that what they call not counting over 3,900 deaths???? And that idiot went there to throw paper towels and congratulating himself! It was and still is a flagrant dereliction of duty leading to even more death and illness and trauma

It didn't drastically fuck all. Two-thirds of Americans don't consider Puerto Ricans to be Americans and or don't know they're Americans. With the Racist in Chief, in office, this is how non-whites are treated.

Step 2: doing something about it. Sadly, our gov't is too #corrupt to help.

FEMA has been perpetually inept at responding to hurricane devastation. Look no further than the 2004 season when 4 hurricanes struck Florida and see how well they managed that. And the following year was Katrina, among other storms. #Fail
