I’m not trying to be cruel but...you wouldn’t be going thru all this if you hadn’t crossed over into the US illegally...so this is not Trumps fault it is yours for putting your children in harms way by committing a crime plus child endangerment.

All of these crying mother stories omit the fact that there are 9 consulates in Mexico where they can apply for asylum. Deterring people from crossing the hot desert with their children is important. I don't believe a parent should risk a child's life when Mexico is an option.

If you don’t want to risk being separated from your children, then go through the proper channels to enter. If you want to run across the border, then one needs to be aware of what will happen if caught. I can’t believe there are people who don’t understand that concept.

Did you go thru the port of entry ? if you did I feel bad , even though you and your kids still should have been sent back to Mexico, not seperated, but if you crossed illegally , you shouldn't be travelling within America at all.

Did you read the part about her being from Guatemala and NOT Mexico??? Why would she be sent there?

We only need send them to the last country they came from, obviously she left Guat. for a reason , so Mexico would be as good a place as America to seek asylum.

Yes. Gang ridden Mexico would be a GREAT place for a mother to go who escaped gang violence bc they were trying to recruit her 11 year old son.

you are making the argument as why we need to strengthen our border.

It sounds like she illegally crossed a border. You committed a crime. If you just go to a port of entry this wouldn't happen. Actions have consequences.

Guess her husband shouldn’t have tried to cross international borders illegally. It was their choice.
