That's a regressive tax. The working poor pay more than the wealthy.

Too bad they won't raise taxes on the rich instead of making the poor pay for it at the same rate as the rich.

This makes zero sense. This only hurts the poor and middle class, teachers included. But, hey, keep voting republican 😉😉

Good for them. This is a state issue and should be handled by the state, just like minimum wage, guns and many other issues

Interesting sourcing for taxpayer dollars. Not property tax nor a school assessment fee, but a fuel tax. Hmmm.

How are #GasTaxes going to solve #Teacher pay problems when these taxes are for fixing #Infrastructure ? This is another reason why people are frustrated with elected officials! Use the money for its intended purpose. #SchoolTaxes are for paying teachers, not gas tax.

This is the way the Republicans will make the average Oklahoman furious at the teachers. It was a vindictive move.

It is really for teachers.or you people are lying on the taxpayers money for yourself once again. So the taxpayers have to work harder to make it. Government is just lying to put money into their own packets

This is absurd. There's already money there, reappropriate it to the proper means, ie teacher pay, and stop putting a larger burden on the middle class.
