        The reason Saudi Arabia wasn't on that list is due to political, economical and geopolitical reasons. Saudi is maintaining the petrodollar by trading their oil in dollars and in return the US provides them with defense. Pissing them off isn't a good idea at the moment.

        Well it's not the oil but the fact that a global market is constantly using dollars. It stabilizes the value of the currency which became important when the US left the gold standard.
