And to think-half the country wants federally operated healthcare....think about that....there are people out there that have faith in our government, our incompetent congress, etc, to run healthcare for over 320 million people. Unbelievable

Well that is an indictment of your government—actually a failing of the electorate—than any comment on the merits of universal healthcare. USA is ONLY one of 39 western industrialized countries (basically OECD) that does not have universal healthcare.
-
The only people that want it here have no understanding of economics...how many of those countries have a socially diverse population of over 250 million people? How many of those countries have a military that stands on guard for a large portion of the world? Zero...not the same
-
C’mon, Matt. You’re talking rubbish now. However, I will concede your point that a military that is BIGGER than the next TEN militaries combined, is the reason for US debt and used (wrongly) to claim that universal healthcare is unaffordable. Your other points are just nonsense.

Sorry but we need the money for sex changes
-
You know that's not how this works, right??
-
Do tell, how does "this work"
-
Money allocated to VA by Congress to operate facilities and pay staff doesn't ever, as in never ever ever, pay for "sex changes" Simple enough for you?
-
Sorry but sacrifices must be made. Transgender people are the priority so if the sick and elderly must suffer so someone can get a boob job then so be it. I’m so tolerant!

Can you read? Can you think? (rhetorical question)

The VA can do better & should have a team of emergency responders that tackle these problems & solve them. Bed sores means patients aren't being attended 2 properly & need better staff, beds & equip. Pain mgmt. issues, with the vets suffering more pain not less = staff using.
-
What burns me more than anything else is that we have regressed as a society to the point that we think incompetence is okay. It isn't and never has been. Americans need to snap out of this Trumpian, malignant, malaise & get back to doing what we know is right.

Thankful for freedom of choice in America.
-
You DON’T have freedom of choice. You HAVE to take what your EMPLOYER offers. HMOs & Insurers—NOT YOU—choose what care you get. Some coverage is denied or made too expensive. ALL our medical needs are met; We DON’T HAVE to choose between false options. THAT’S the point.
-
You don't have to take the insurance. I can choose a deductable plan or opt out anytime and choose the provider I want. Also now that we don't have obamacare we can choose to go without and not be penalized at tax time.

Ernie, Ernie, Ernie. In
, the avg. premium is $475/YEAR (a % of personal income over 20K/year to max $900/year) for 100% unlimited coverage. We DON’T HAVE to choose; we get EVERYTHING we need. You get to choose between BAD options with exclusions, high prices, limits. -
You get what you pay for.
