America's first ladies, current and former, are weighing in on the "cruel" immigration policy that is leading to migrant families being separated at the U.S.-Mexico border. https://usat.ly/2MAAYoI pic.twitter.com/VaO0GiUrA6

Putting criminals into jail and rescuing their children is not cruel. It's patriotic.

They are being separated when they cross at illegal, unguarded sections of the border - not at legal customs checkpoints. Would you be happier if they simply denied entry and sent them back into the desert? Or maybe admit them and send them to jail with their parents?

The threads of the American flag have been made by our immigrants. Why do we want to tear a hole in the flag of democracy? Thanks Ms. Laura.

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, In case you don't recall this message on our Statue of Liberty. These people have not been convicted yet of a crime yet we have incarcerated them from their children and placed in camps.Sound familiar?

My great grandparents passed that statue on their way to Ellis Island for LEGAL immigration to the US. These people at the border are economic migrant illegal aliens masquerading as asylum seekers. Let them apply legally in their home countries. The US can't take in everyone.

Why don't the world practice open border policies like what those overpaid, underworked beurocrats at the European Union is preaching? No need for imigation or passports. Of course it NOT possible. There have to be rules to check who comes in and those who can't. Remember 9/11?

What a load of crap! Who started the war in Iraq? How many young Americans died and crippled as a result of this war? And here you are shedding crocodile tears just because some children was seperated from their parents who were trying to cross the border illegally? Hypocrites!
