The answer is in your question, PLAY!!!!!!! Kids have played with toy guns since the first gun was invented and swords before that. Something is wrong with children today and not the object they play with. No repercussions, no fear........

At least her kid doesn't have a concern of being shot with the toy gun. Good for him.

I think it’s none of your business, what parents allow their children to do, or play with.

Yes. Children should play and use their imagination. Playing with a toy gun will not turn you into a serial killer. I have been around weapons, taken gun safety classes. Additional training and the military. I started shooting under supervision since I was 7.

Wow. I grew up playing with toy guns, Cops and Robbers to be exact. Let's see... I have never killed anybody, never planned to, and have been in less than 5 fights my entire 39 years. Parents still have the power to teach compassion and responsibility. The guns aren't the issue.

Personally, I never bought toy guns for my kids. They created their own, but then got bored with the whole gun/shooting crap. but, it's a personal thing, is my point.

I did not want my son to play with toy guns either, so he used a banana. Boys are going to play.

I did when I was a kid. I have never felt like I should shoot another person. The toys aren’t the problem!

Liberals tell us violent movies, video games and music have no affect on kids.

Exactly. A toy gun is bad, but a video game that puts you in a very real situation with an enemy, strategy, sound effects, feedback, and lots of blood is just fine.
