Exactly. Because the world is on fucking fire. I'm sure osteoporosis is important, but holding children in cages is a lot worse.

Yes. I have osteopenia which is the precursor to this and I was advised to take specific supplements and do resistance exercises. Hopefully it will stop from progressing.

Yes, hope so too. I crack a rib every now and then from it. Painful and takes forever to heal.

I turned 60 in March. My mom had osteoporosis. Got a bone density done a couple of months ago and I have been diagnoses with Osteopenia. I am taking supplements and am really paying attention to exercise which I had neglected.

Been there. I was walking in my backyard, tripped and had a minor fall on soft grass. My wrist fractured anyway. All of a sudden everyday activities have a new risk.

Under Republicans it wouldn't be covered because having bones is a pre-existing condition, so if you could kindly stop reposting this article that would be great.

I think you’ve got that backwards. The ACA, Which is the Democrats baby, has implemented limitations on health benefits for the food the “state”. Republicans just assume get rid of it, but cannot. It is insurers over a barrel.

60% OF AMERICAN ARE DEFICIENT IN MAGNESIUM, WHICH IS VITAL FOR THE OSTEOBLAST CELLS THAT BUILD BONE. CALCIUM COMPETES WITH MAGNESIUM. TOO MUCH CALCIUM INHIBITS MAGNESIUM LEADING TO WEAK BONES. CALCIUM TO MAGNESIUM RATIO IS IMPORTANT. THE CORRECT FORM OF MAGNESIUM IS VITAL.

We hear about this twice a bit - particularly if your mother had osteoporosis...I have osteopenia, drink milk, take calcium & Vitamin D, and walk a lot. Walk carefully to avoid falls.

A claim for a bone density test at 58 will be denied by your insurer. Even with a family history of osteoporosis. Big insurance would rather take the chance that you'll die before hitting it's "system" with bills for broken bones and multiple hospitalizations.

Wasn't denied by my insurer and I am 52. Diagnosed osteopenia and working out along with calcium supplements. No big pharma here.
