I don't understand this. Why go backwards and dwell on past wrongs, why not take a positive step forward.

This actually is the positive step forward

Hey Issa, there is slavery today in parts of Africa. Maybe do something about that?
-
Kanye West once said that Mark Zuckerberg should give him $1 b instead of educating african children.

That part!

Wow. I’m confused. Is she trying to say that being black or black itself isn’t racial? It’s a state of thought? If true... becareful who gets to decided which thoughts are ok.
-
I got the joke. I just find it dumb that if someone doesn’t think in the approved manner they are not “Black enough”, black at all or accused of using blackness.
-
To me, his blackness is convenient because he only uses it when it comes time to sell albums but not to actually support black people in a meaningful way
-
I think the outrage over Kanye and his “blackness” is also rather convenient. I don’t recall hearing anything about Kanye using his blackness in this manner until recently.
-
Well not hearing it doesn’t mean the conversation didn’t happen. I’ve definitely heard it before, especially in the context of police brutality
-
Ok. So, who was saying it? Specifically in relation to police brutality and when?
-
Don’t think anything I say is going to add anything to what you already think so imma just get back to my regular twitter shenanigans
