Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that President Trump told him that criticism of NFL players who protest during the national anthem is "a very winning, strong issue for me," according to a report. https://usat.ly/2xrUhx1 pic.twitter.com/GNEXOEOeDP

So Trump rallies his minority base, tells owners that fighting is losing proposition, and they believed the delusional serial liar. Imagine instead if the @NFL and @NFLPA countered the spin & banded together to highlight the social injustices rather than the anthem itself.

The fact is, with the earlier blackballing of Kaepernick, the owners are complicit and in full agreement. They can’t blame Trump. They own this.

Please don’t make me hate the sport I love! Keep politics out of this. Stand the F up when your anthem comes on. Fine doesn’t go far enough, it should be an automatic loss and no pay for the team!

The only reason this has become a political issue is b/c trump made it political. Kneeling during the nat'l anthem was suggested to @Kaepernick7 by a U S Marine. Kneeling to bring atten to a human rights issue is not political. You watch the game for the game NOT the anthem!!!

They kneel for police brutality... and that topic is political. I want to watch football without the kneeling to the anthem that millions died for, it’s very disrespectful.

How is police brutality political when policing in and of itself is not political?

You think kneeling during the anthem is the correct way to protest anything?

That’s the most disrespectful thing anyone can do... look up the wounded warrior project and tell all of them what they think about kneeling during the anthem, or everyone stationed in Afghanistan, Iraq.

My parents, aunts, uncles, cousins & close family friends ALL served, fought during conflicts & most retired from their respective branches for @Kaepernick7's & others rights to protest. I don't need to look for anyone else's opinion on this matter. Kneeling is respectable!

The kneeling had NOTHING to do with him! We knew he was a racist and didn't expect anything from him. Now why would he take time from his busy schedule to interject in something that was NO CONCERN OF HIS!pic.twitter.com/7xQv1IPIKH
