Roseanne's supporters say her tweets are similar to comments made by other TV personalities who didn't suffer the same consequences.https://usat.ly/2Japs4H

Venturing to guess that those same supporters are happy that the NFL will punish those who kneel?

Same thing I think. Can’t have it both ways because you like her but don’t like players kneeling.

The fact that Roseanne still has supporters after this shows that we have a long way to go as a country.

Archie bunker was a fictional character; the real man, Carroll O’Connor, would never say those things. Please stop comparing Hollywood to real life.

Well let’s think about this for a min though...she is on a Public Network Television channel @ABCNetwork so gotta watch what you say. @billmaher he is on @HBO so you can get away with a lot of stuff on there because it’s more adult oriented. So think before you complain people!!!

We could spend an entire day about how what the supporters say is like comparing apples to oranges. Bottom line: the right decision was made by ABC. This wasn’t the first time she has been racist.

Do same supporters who call kaepernick unpatriotic and worse for kneeling during anthem defend Roseanne after she literally spit on anthem? Is she a SOB for that, mr.president? Probably not. Selective outrage.

Total BS- CK kneeling and protesting has everything to do with him doing that at his job. He can protest off the job like other union workers have to do. Two different things here. Roseanne comments were off but not unlike other ABC personalities who are still employed by ABC.

What are you talking about? It was collectively bargained that players stand during anthem? No. Ownership took it upon themselves to make up and enforce rules as they went along. Union is fighting against rule they recently made.

That was the compromise made- my point being it never should have been a union issue. I don’t get to protest at my job, do you?

Compromise is an accord between two or more groups mutually agreed on. Players weren't in on making new anthem rule thusly it's not compromise. If you do, nobody but coworkers would notice but you're rights are protected.

Sometimes unions act on workers behalf without consent from the populous. It’s why I pay union dues, I don’t like many of the decisions made. But if I don’t like the rules of my employer or union I can seek employment elsewhere. Btw there is no freedom of speech at your job- zero

The remarks dont look like a joke. Thats the difference. I do think people need to calm down on either side. The world is getting heated up in a very fast pace. Saw a lot of anger and resentment on my trips lately. The big crowd in the middle needs to speak up. We need more grey
