A Regional Training Centre on Migration in Baku is being established in partnership with the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan and IOM.

In Somalia, the number of people displaced by ongoing crises has reached a record high of 3.8 million, most of them are women and children.
IOM teams are working to address immediate and long-term needs.
IOM's multi-purpose cash assistance provides a critical lifeline for crisis- and #drought-affected families across Ethiopia.
Through this support, impacted persons such as Masal, Mohammed, and Halimo are able to resume generating livelihoods for their families.

Despite the ongoing war, more than 5.5 million people who had been displaced by the war in Ukraine have returned home, about 20 per cent of those from abroad, accd. to IOM's report.
Their needs must be accounted for within the humanitarian response.

The effects of the drought in the Horn of Africa will continue to be felt in 2023, depleting livelihoods of communities - driving internal displacement and irregular migration.
Around 2.4M people were displaced by drought, in Somalia (61%) and Ethiopia (22%).
