Pre the late 70's we used hessian and paper bags or wrapped stuff in old newspapers. Then we got worried about the trees (didn't help) and plastic everything snuck in. And we didn't think it through. Industrial hemp bags should help.

Indeed Industrial hemp can be used for a myriad of things ...hard part will be to convince the monkeys in Government to grow it
