As a 35+ yr teacher mobiles in class are unnecessary, distracting and wasting a huge amount of learning time.

Well they are in the school I teach at - and it’s working out great. We’re reclaiming literacy and motor skill capabilities and strengthening students’ social capacities and abilities to focus on one thing - all of which are degraded with the use of phones in class

Recently my school has banned them! What a difference it has made to their concentration, participation and social interactions! They are still used at the teacher's request if needed in class for an activity.
