Indeed, the views of the School should be limited to the vision, mission and values of the school and the University. Chapeau for stressing your value of academic freedom of expression.

At first this sounded like a muzzle. I expect Australian universities to have official views on many issues. Views that reflect current science and best practice on a wide range of topics. But then, I figure “and values” could include almost anything. I’m OK w that.

Yes they do. She is supported by your university and is not talking from a layman’s perspective. She talks from the authority you have bestowed on her. A business professor may see that death is cheap but I doubt she has factored in all the long term sickness and rehab. That’s $$

Lol. Distancing UNSW from Foster's views, whilst appearing to defend her right to hold and express those views publicly, says much about the esteem with which those views are held. Only hope she has limited opportunity to inculcate students into her extremist position.
